Off-grid street lamp design.
Hampl, Petr ; Karásek, David (oponent) ; Křenek, Ladislav (vedoucí práce)
The problem area of the project depicts the issue of actual transformation of energy resources and supply worldwide with the focus on renewable resources of energy. The stress is primarily laid on values of an object designated for public spaces. The author’s assignment was to design a lighting unit independent of an external power supply. The aim of the new design is to rethink the way in which technologies utilizing solar and wind power are commonly used, and to suggest a solution that brings new features, benefits and values for the user and society. Generally the author brings forward design that reflects actual global threats and opportunities. The result is a design of a street lamp that combines a wind turbine with a solar cell module in order to gain electrical energy which is stored in an accumulator and afterwards supplied to a luminaire. The lamp is designed with special consideration of aesthetics and ergonomics. The designed solution brings financial benefits in terms of saving the nonrenewable resources and possible money savings for the investor. Furthermore, the off-grid street lamp has a lower negative impact on the environment and demonstrates technologies utilizing solar and wind power in a friendly and unintrusive way.
Design of a Houseboat
Csadiová, Dominika ; Chorý, Tomáš (oponent) ; Křenek, Ladislav (vedoucí práce)
The topic of the master thesis is the design of a floating house. Product responds to the current global problems, especially the consequences of global warming and population growth. Rising sea levels are a factor that negatively affects several areas, mainly cities near the coastline. In combination with population growth, the possibility of moving dwellings to the water surface can be an attractive solution. The master thesis also aims at environmental friendliness, emission reduction and the use of alternative energy sources. Nowdays, houseboats on the water are very popular, but are mostly used only for recreation. The master thesis presents a design of a floating house for year-round living on the seas and oceans for 2 to 3 people.
Zelená energie: výhody a rizika

Social Inequality and Green Energy: The Case of India
Rakshit, Shoumyadeep ; Salamon, Janusz (vedoucí práce) ; Paulus, Michal (oponent)
The problems of social inequality has plagued the Indian society since the history known. The caste system and its intersection with other religions have compounded the situations even further. This study focuses on the issue of marginalization between the three religious communities of India, namely Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam. Furthermore this investigation try to propose a solution to this ensuing problem of marginalization by involving the case of green energy sector and its components. The potential that green energy entails for the economy will be studied at close quarters and evidences will be portrayed to see the positive effects. The creation and realization of the fertile grounds for the intersection or the juxtaposition of green energy over marginalization will be studied by combining the two philosophies of complex equality and equality of condition. The investigation reveals that marginalization can be solved by introducing Green energy on a large scale. The proposed model under the architectures of the conceptual frameworks of Spheres of Justice and Development as Freedom creates Green Energy as an independent sphere of influence that shows positive effect in reducing Inequality by interacting with other spheres of influence. Využití kukuřice seté (Zea mays L.) pro energetické účely
RATAJ, David
Práce se zabývá druhy energetického využití kukuřice seté (Zea mays L.). Porovnává vhodnost využití hybridních druhů kukuřice a způsoby zpracování biomasy jako celku pro jiné než krmivářské a potravinářské účely. Součástí bakalářské práce je shrnutí a porovnání literárních údajů o dalších druzích energetických plodin a porovnat s nimi energetického využití na základě vybraných produkčních schopností a energetických parametrů (výnos sušiny, energetická výtěžnost, spalné teplo a vlhkost).
